OUR STORY
The restaurant is housed inside a 13th-century tower, part of the medieval neighbourhood once linked to the Donati family, one of the most prominent families in Florence during Dante’s time.
Walking along Via Matteo Palmieri, it’s easy to imagine Florence as it was in the Middle Ages: narrow alleyways, craftsmen’s shops, the smell of fresh bread and the voices of merchants in the streets.
Today, that past still lives within the walls of Ristorante Cinto: a place where history, hospitality and Tuscan flavours come together, preserving a strong connection with the territory.
Dining here means sitting inside an authentic fragment of the ancient city, an atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else.

Ristorante Cinto is a Tuscan restaurant set inside a 13th-century medieval tower, just a few steps from Piazza Duomo.

The ingredients we use are simple, carefully selected and prepared in the most natural way. A few good elements and clear, honest flavours: this is our idea of cooking.
Every day we make fresh handmade pasta – pici, tagliatelle and more – following true Tuscan tradition.
When it comes to meat, we take no shortcuts: we choose well-marbled cuts and cook them over charcoal for a juicy, flavourful Florentine steak.
And yes, we love using fresh truffle to elevate even the simplest dishes.
We complete the menu with seasonal vegetables and ingredients that reflect the flavours of Tuscany.

One floor below, in the most intimate part of the tower, you’ll find La Cantinetta:
a quiet, cosy room perfect for a romantic dinner, a small group of friends or a special occasion.
Soft lighting, stone walls and a more peaceful atmosphere make it one of the most loved spaces in the restaurant.
It’s the ideal spot to enjoy a slow, relaxed evening away from the busy streets of the city.

Amazing place! Marco was our host and server, and he truly made our experience special. He was incredibly thoughtful and checked on us several times to make sure we were enjoying everything. The food was delicious, but Marco’s kindness and hospitality made the evening even better. He was so sweet and welcoming—he made us feel like family. Highly recommend!
After being stuck in a tourist trap the night before, we went of a friend’s recommendation for Cinto. Food and service was amazing. We expressed that we liked our wine really cold, the server took the time to ice the glass before serving. The burrata was one of the tastiest dishes we’ve ever had. We both had traditional pasta dishes, they were simple but both real tasty dishes. The tiramisu was really indulgent and a great end to the meal. The wine selection was really good. It was an intimate and nice atmosphere. Really reasonably priced for the quality of the food and service. Would highly recommend.

He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind, and his service made our entire dinner even more enjoyable. He was always there when we needed something without ever making us feel rushed, and he went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. The food was delicious, but Michele’s hospitality is what really made the night memorable. Easily some of the best service we’ve had during our time in Italy. LOVED THIS PLACE!!! Sohela was perfect and amazing!! Very attentive and a vibe!! Loved the place, music was soooo good and perfect volume. Got the sirloin steak, had to chew a lot and cut into tiny bits and was not as warm as I thought it would be BUTTTTT DUE TO THE SERVICE THIS PLACE WAS EXCELLENT!!! EVERYONE IS SO SO NICE AND WELCOMING AND WARM!!!

A wonderful experience. My girlfriend and I came to celebrate our anniversary, and I feel we chose the best place we could have. The ambiance, the food, the staff—everything was perfect. Klevis served us, and we couldn't be happier. He was always helpful, recommending dishes and constantly checking in on us. His service was truly excellent. I highly recommend the tiramisu for dessert; it's the best I've ever had. If I return to Florence, I will definitely come back!
My boyfriend and I had dinner here, choosing the set menu, to celebrate our anniversary, and the experience was unbeatable! The staff, especially Klevis, were fantastic from start to finish. The restaurant was lovely, and the Bistecca menu for two is highly recommended. It includes a very good aperitif platter, a Florentine steak, and two tiramisu. It's well worth it, and the food was delicious. The steak is traditionally served rare, which is a matter of taste. However, it's definitely worth trying typical Florentine cuisine. The staff was also very friendly.
This steak ranks in my top 3 favorites from my 3-week trip to Italy. For reference, I have a palate that can't handle greasy food, and while I've been to most of the highly-rated restaurants (those with lots of Korean reviews, etc.), they were all just so-so... However, I really enjoyed the meal here. That sauce is the real highlight. Also, they were incredibly friendly, so I'm giving it 5 stars. (I highly recommend the steak over the pasta.)

Miguel made my experience so fun and enjoyable, and I truly felt incredibly blessed. A special thank you to my amazing waiter (Miguel), who made me feel right at home while I was traveling solo. Miguel even played Hispanic music for me so I could feel a little closer to home and made the perfect recommendations and gave me a delicious dessert on the house.
